BJ got one of the worst (if not THE worst) looking BMWs for $50k. LOL! It's a lame front-end design and just looks 'sedate' - and he keeps calling it new although it's VERY old now
and who the F cares about who ELSE owns a similar car? I think the OP and most others were concerned about his/her OWN car and how it looks! If my car is a good car, then I don't care who else has it. This whole 'status' argument BJ brings is so freaking lame. I get so many complements on my 330Ci ZHP, and compared to the F30, I think (as many others do) it says 'BMW' more than F30...a LOT more. F30 just looks like any other mass-market car, and certainly THE most mass-market looking car BMW ever made, IMO. I like how the E92 coupe looks; a LOT. The reason I went with the E46 was the dash/interior design - I didn't like the less 'driver-oriented' design of the E92 dash. But externally I think E92 coupe looks just great! a LOT better than a F30 sedan for sure - one can only hope the F coupe would look similar to the E92 coupe; so NO, the E92 doesn't look dated at all. I'd keep it.

i dont get it, are you equating a leased 3 series to ridiculous wealth or something? ![]() hey listen, these stupid poor kids, they're not our problem. its not my fault they were never sent to private school to get a real education. i mean for real, the only problem i have is that my kid was never cool, so i had to buy him an M3. |

Everybody shut-up! This is unique
![]() Seriously: OP, E92 is beautiful, buy it and enjoy it, you can't predict what will you regret in life. That kind of mistakes easy to fix anyway.

Nicely put, Big C. Please DO donate your BMW to my For The Children Fund!!! A man such as you, a sensitive and caring man, undoubtably purchased his expensive German iron specifically to donate to a good cause. Disgustingly wealthy, indeed! We'll show those effete yuppie snobs how to live. Give 'til it hurts, and then some! Lead the way, C - just PM for bank routing info and we'll start the ball rolling. Begin with a $10,000 donation to my For The Children Fund!!! and I will return instructions for your vehicle donation. Your generous contribution will be appreciated! Expect letters from a village of starving Kenyan children, anxious to relocate to the US of A, having heard that one of their own did good. Revel in the knowledge that you are at last a good person, benefiting those disenfranchised souls so in need of ready cash. Don't wait for them to improve their lot on their own! You can show us all how effective it truly is to simply give them money....how excellent you are by doing so! . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 09-22-2012 at 06:59 AM. |

If you thought I meant a 3-series implied "rich", you clearly didn't get it. I was instead referring to your prior boasting about cars you could drive, the car you do drive, the utter lack of either being a necessity of life in any fashion, and at the same time your imputing of uncharitable motives to someone expending his own resources for a member of his family. The sum of those shows a total lack of irony.

I've always been a believer that BMW designs their cars to look ahead of its time, especially the 3er. They just seem to age gracefully. Case in point I still think the E36 and E46 are good looking cars to this day. They have a timeless classic design that makes them instantly recognizable.
Some of the Japanese and domestic marques don't fare so well in this category with their overly futuristic and organic looking designs that seem to get old overnight.

And probably a good choice with the Audi (non RFT's) considering Philly roads. Nice to have garage space there, too. PS. Congrats on the Porsche, looks damn good. As for the OP, buy what YOU want. The E92 is damn good looking and based on the F30, the F32 probably won't look THAT much different. I usually like newer models, as well, but had a loaner F30 335 this week while mine was in for service and was much happier getting back into the "old" E90.
