I was wondering if any has tips the can offer me on how to remove the oil pan on a 2011 335D? I got it lose and unbolted, took the stiffner off, tried to drop the front end a bit and lift the engine at the same time. however i need more clearance to tilt the pan and slide it back. Do i need to unbolt the engine from the mounts, or remove the tranny in this case...?

Have not worked on this particular model. For other similar I have disconnected engine mounts and lifted engine slightly. Normally ok but keep a strict eye on over tensioned wires, hoses and cables. Expect to get a 4-5" lift at the front of the engine.
