A Stereo harness for your system is quite labor intensive, as you will need to run wires to your trunk and back to your iDrive. Otherwise you will have to cut OEM wires and patch them up with extension wires to the trunk anyways so you can make the processor/amps connections there.

It is a shame that in 2012 BMW offers the Stereo system even in the F10.

This means if i am unhappy with the standard system (US F10) I can go a head and do your suggested AMP switch out for better sound. Easy Peezy

So the auto-tuning feature of the JBL makes it a better system than the premium and B&O OEM audio systems?
