Bluetooth Not Pairing
'08 650i convertible, Samsung Strive SGH-A687, AT&T. What's the secret? The directions are simple in the manual and the phone found the car but the car doesn't recognize the phone and the pairing fails. Help, please.

No other devices. It does ask me for the pairing code and I've tried a couple of different 4 digit codes at random but none seem to work.

You press on the iDrive dial - iMenu > Communication Settings > Bluetooth > Phone > Add Device > enter 0000 for the passkey On the iPhone you will see BMW### in the bluetooth menu. Enter 0000 as the passkey here and they should pair, and autopair from that point forward.

I was wondering. took my 05 650 to get a oil change but the dealer refused ?? stating that my oil pan was cracking andthey would have to replace the oil pan??/ for only 750.00. Going to have to find another place dont think it will be that much?? has any one else had that problem??

I got my car Monday, and I have paired probably 3 other BMW's. I fought with this thing for two days, and just paired it, I had forgotten one final step and it did perfect. Yorgi, I really appreciate all your posts, and my next step is to order a new key, and get my ipod working. I have the CD player, so I am going to talk to dealer today to see about costs for it. I was able to play a couple of cd's that I burned, so I should be able to do this myself.
My iphone was the first step to key in, then the idrive input the code, then the step I could not figure out was to move the idrive stem to the right to get it in the program mode, and it went straight to it. Last edited by drbbop; 09-26-2012 at 07:54 AM. |

Did you start the pairing with the phone or the car? Maybe try it the other way
