High beam stays on

Hello, I have an issue with my high beams staying on. I was told that I needed to replace that LCM. I have a 1998 BMW 528i. I called BMW and was told that I don't have to have it reprogrammed. Can someone help me on how to replace this myself.

Both of my high beams stays on. Is there somebody that stays in the Raleigh NC area that knows how to put the LCM in for me. I purchased a used LCM and I need someone to put it in for me.

Take note that if/when you put in the used LCM, you MUST recode it to your car, or else you will get a "Tamper Dot" on your odometer IIRC.

This can be fixed by:
A) Having the dealer do it
or
B) Recoding it with INPA

If it doesn't need reprogramming, then this is a replacement you can easily do yourself. The LCM is located near the glove box and behind the right most panel on the passenger side.
Once you remove that panel (it's just held in by some clips), you can easily gain access to your LCM.
