New Girl :)

Herrooo! I'm new to this site and new to BMW's. Of course. I drive a 2004 325Ci, love it! I used to be into Subaru's but love my switch to luxury and quickness! I eventually wanna modify her with some wheels, exhaust, and maybe some engine performance parts. So, here she is.

The only way you'll get any real performance gains is to either supercharge it or get a custom turbo kit. Neither one of these is cheap, because you'll have to prepare your car for the extra stress. All in all, expect to drop nearly $10,000 in reinforcement, parts, labor, and, if necessary, custom tuning.

10k? no no no.... with 10k I could build your E46 into a f'in supercar man. I'd say I could build a 400hp kit for about 5k even.

Don't spend the extra 10 grand for chrissakes. Either stick with the 325 or get an M3. Much more classy and without all the mods.

Haha thanks guys. I don't plan on actually modifying it until it's paid off! And I sure as hell won't be spending 10k. LOL

Well first I had a 95 FWD Impreza L that I swapped to a 2.2T. Then I had my awesome Impreza wagon that was wrecked on the drivers side. But it was the ultimate rally car, I definitely miss that about Subaru.

Sounds like you had fun in the impreza wagon. Those little 2.2 turbo engines are pretty quick and we all know subaru engines sound badass.

Got any pics of the engine swapped one?. I like to check it out.

The car or the owner?

And the most tasteful mods you can do to your car, OP, is a slight drop, a good set of wheels (I personally won't go over 18" on the E46 platform), and a yummy exhaust note. I'm also a fan of yellow fog lights, so that's a cheap and easy one ($15 on eBay).

^^ That is what I plan on doing. 18x10(not sure what offset), exhaust eventually and definitely a drop.

Someday if I can afford an M3 or M5 I will go that direction. But as of right now I'm happy with what I've got.

Entirely too wide. Tires will be outrageously priced, too. 18"x8" front and 18"x8.5" or 18"x9" rear. For a good reference, check out the wheel and tire fitment guide in the Wiki (link below).

Hell yeah. Looks like you used that thing for what it was made for that's awesome. I've driven a few STi's 04 and 05 mainly and I loved them. The only thing that I didn't like was it insanely horrible under steer lol.

No more off roading for you in the bimmer
