Advice, input or suggestions sought.
Every year as winter approaches and I look into storage I have the same nagging question. Q: Why do I still have this car? The car - no major mods: 2000 Z3 M Roadster 42000 miles Dinan Stage 2 Dinan CAI Dinan high flow throttle body Strong strut and Strong Butt Plexi wind screen OEM wheels New stereo head and speaker set from Crutchfield The drawbacks: Only able to drive on weekends (2 kids that need pickup every day from school) Additional annual insurance cost Wife doesn't particularly like being a passenger The thought of my kids asking for the keys when they are old enough to drive The positives: The sheer pleasure of spirited driving -obvious point I know Doesn't hand like my Toyota Convertible Older style/less refined than Z4 - for me a positive having grown up with MGBs So why do I still have this car? Should I just sell it and be done with this chapter? Keep it for another five years or so and keep adding to the modification list? It's so impractical and so damn fun to drive! |
