Bay Area Collision Repair Suggestions?
Yeah, so the worst thing that could have happened, happened. I had my 2012 F30 335i for less than a month, and the front-end is smashed. Damage to left fender, hood, and of course the bumper. No internals damaged.
I am in the North Bay Area, but I'm willing to have it towed to have a proper, clean, and immaculate fix done on it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally close to the North Bay... But I'll take it anywhere. I have good insurance, if that helps. |

What about Sonnen -- right down the road from you. I haven't lived in Tiburon for years but they were always top notch and have heard nothing since to change my view.

Well, their sales has left things to be desired. If you've heard or experienced their service to be great, then I haven't heard anything other than good yet.
There's also a shop, European Performance. Novato... Not sure how I would evaluate between the two. What about BMW Certification? SF has one. Is it a big thing? |

I would be surprised to learn that Sonnen's body shop is not certified. Actually around here I have not seen any major dealer shops that are not. Remember, the dealership has different profit centers, sales of course being one, used cars (very profitable!), another the F&I person, a third, the service center another and finally the body shop. Although sometimes you find these part of service's empire as well. Sometimes (rarely) you might find a "tenant body shop" located at the dealership but not part of it. These I believe would be most likely to be not "certified" -- but again, depends.
That is quite a commute from Mill Valley to the "other" valley! I did it from Tiburon briefly but but it was too much -- although I do love the North Bay and Tiburon was great!
