light problem

hello everyone, i am new to this site and have a question for the 540i gurus here. i have a 2001 540i that i recently switched out the headlight units with an aftermarket set. i was able to utilize the existing parking lights/turn signals but after wiring up the entire unit i have a problem with the passenger side parking light. if car has been sitting the parking light will come on as it should, however if i turn on the bright headlights and then turn back to parking lights the right side parking light stays off. all other lights including halo's work as they are supposed to and the turn signals work perfectly. i am not familiar with whether all bmw's have relay switches on the lights. i read something about the lcm located inside the car could be the problem but has anyone else ever experienced this problem after a swichout of headlights or can someone point me in the right direction on this one.....thanks
