http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...578&highlight= Your problem is you are too stubborn to understand when you are completely wrong even when fellow BMW owners tell you that you are incorrect. Sad really that you are not liked even by your own kind. You can call me a troll all you want but I have said positive and negative things about both Audi and BMW unlike you who thinks everything other than BMW is crap and anyone else who wants to buy another brand than BMW is a Troll.

What do you think of the new Panamera concept revealed at Paris? I wonder if this shape will replace the current one or if it's going to be a separate model. I like it. Great utility and nice look, though I also like the current model. I would guess it doesn't do much to sway the ones who doesn't.

I regard the current Panamera as perhaps the most unattractive car over $100K. That being said, this new model appears to be a big step forward. Yes, the new model clearly declares itself to be a Porsche, but it no longer appears to be a derivative bloated 911. I am certain that designers felt compelled on the original Panamera to forcefully establish its Porsche bona fides. The success of the current cars has probably afforded Porsche the opportunity and freedom to create this fresher less derivative look, still incorporating Porsche design cues. We cannot see the rear in the pic - I hope it is not reminiscent of the 928.
I have always liked performance hatchbacks - especially since many of my best buds in my life have been German shepherd dogs - I think Nick would like it.

I think this car could be a big hit for Porsche...but I am one of the few around here who has a thing for hatchbacks.

It looks more purposeful. More of a mini-wagon rather than a bloated coupe.

I like it! Much better looking than the current version which I agree looks like a blotted 911. But for some reason every time I see one, I can't take my eyes off of it. :screwy:

The irony of the concept car is always entertaining: high dependence on battery technology combined with a huge usage of electronics that use power quickly such as video rear view, large video screens replacing manual gauges. How long does your iPhone last when you actively use it? It's super cool but not even close to reality.

Exactly. It's presented as a look at the future of Porsche design. I think it could be the skin of the Panny 2 with some styling added already to the refresh of Panny 1 next year. The narrow rear lights etc. Anyway it's intriguing. I really am fond of the current look already though so I'm mostly curious where the weight will endup. Btw I just put in an order for a Cayenne and one thing is for sure, you really buy these cars purely for the car itself and despite the dealer. They sure bend you over so the car need to be a whole lot of better than BMWs offering to go that route.

Thanks! It's going to be my wife's daily and our new ski/hike mobile. Still, we first selected Servotronic for easier parking for my wife but in the end I couldn't handle it, I had to delete it even if it costed me a fair amount since it was part of a package and I needed to go a' la carte, it could not be removed from the pkg. Pay more for less, only Porsche thinks that is reasonable. Servotronic made the steering feel close to that of an Audi S4, light and low on feedback. Without it the steering is really good, exceptional for an SUV.

V6. The diesel is great but for us the V6 felt like the better choice. The Cayenne is such a joy to drive that the high revving V6 suited our driving style better and we don't do much hwy miles on a daily basis so the mpg is no major concern. When you drive both you soon figure out which one you prefer. Also the V6 does feel a bit nimbler. 300 lbs is enough to detect in back to back driving but you probably don't think of it once you own it.

That's a nice way to have it delivered. I suggested to Mrs Dunderhi that a Bentley Continental GT Speed would be a wonderful 50th birthday present, but she's not buying it... literally.

Maybe a V8 Vantage or Rapide (sell her on the 4 dr practicality) would be more reasonable?
