I assume you had the pre-2010 model. The current one is big and boaty. AT suits it perfectly. We didn't even buy the sweet 240hp flat six, since it didn't suit the character of the car at all.

GM has published its lease support (24 mo lease) for ATS, same high residual as the new 3, not surprising since ALG rated them the same, both have higher residuals than A4 and C class.

But the ATS 24 mo lease is no match to the Infiniti G's two year leases. Need to wait and see how fast GM improves the deal, once inventory piles up.

Nope. I actually had a 1998. kept it until 2004. Loved it. the only reason I got rid of it was because the dealer changed the clutch, it wasn't right and when I went back the dealership was sold..believe it or not. The new owners would not honor past work, especially since they were now selling VWs instead of Subaru. I am still ticked off, i wanted to keep that vehicle until the wheels came off.

Exactly! It's funny, when it comes to cars I see plenty of young people that drive like "old codgers," and seem to have no interest in cars, based on what I see them driving. On the other hand, there are plenty of us older guys that have been car enthusiasts for decades, and still love to find a windy road and get on the gas. Car enthusiasm has no age barriers. You either "have it," or you don't.

I feel really sorry for those people. It's just sad.

On topic - I drove the ATS today at a Cadillac driving event. Unimpressed. More to come.

3.6. You can turn the steering wheel with your pinkie, even in sport setting. I'll take my E90, or my previous E46s any day.

People have different priorities. What's sad is a car company that built its cars catering to those who like to drive for the driving, and driving alone, now they have to cater to those who hate driving but are forced to drive.

Why is this thread still open? It's like discussing who's going to win the Super Bowl a week after the game has been played.

The Cadillac ATS took its best shot, it failed, it lost, it's not surprising, it's over.

I may buy one just to put it in a barn, have my great-great grandchildren have a real collectible, a true rarity, the upside-down-airplane postage stamp of its generation to talk about.

BJ

I just enjoy dtc100 making a fool of himself trying so hard to put down the F30.

If the ATS turns out a lame competitor, I might be forced to get an M3, or ATS-V, watch out who would look like a fool I have up to a year to decide.

Please don't fool yourself thinking if you have a 335i, your are driving a performance car. A 3 series without LSD is nothing. On a 60-second course my lowly 328i usually only trail a well tuned 335i or 335d (yes with tunes) by 3 to 4 seconds, but they easily trail a well equipped 325i, or Miata, or even a Civic, by another 6 to 8 seconds. Which is why my next car must have LSD.

At least BJ knows our proper place.

Wait are you talking about AutoX? If you are a couple seconds is a lot and you cant really compare cars on AutoX since a lot of it relies on the driver, unless you are talking about the same driver.

Also I know its not much but its better than nothing in Sport+ it activates the eDif which simulates a real LSD.

I could probably bet that a 335i would beat a CTS-V on a race course not Drag or Nascar but a real race course or AutoX.

Don't bother. dtc100 has become a F30 troll. Doesn't own one, doesn't like it but posts in every thread

Ric you are trying to talk sense to a guy that thinks the F30 is the anti-Christ of the 3-series. why? Because he shot his load on a E90, 328i, which compared to an F30 is under powered and looks dated plus he sees himself coming and going every 4th car on the road.

Yes, the F30, too. Even in Comfort the F30 steering is firmer than the ATS and, thankfully, in Sport the steering effort firms up nicely. btw - the steering effort and road feel of the F30 in Sport feels very similar to the Active Steering in my E90. The F30 EPS is not bad as so many of you guys make it out to be. It is just different.

I'm afraid that's a little too much to hope for. The driving event I attended was for the CTS-V. It is VERY good.It competes with the ///M5.

In what way? Please elaborate? It costs less, has a better chassis, better steering and handling...How did it fail?
