Sport Mode showed up but not working in 2011 28i

Hey guys,

The latest software upgrade introduced the Sport Mode under the settings on my 2011 X3 28i.
I was quite surprised to see this as I don't have the sport button in my car.

The mode gives you an option to chose between: Chassis, Drivetrain, and Chassis & Drivetrain entries. It is supposed to affect your suspension and steering feel.

After playing with this new option for a while, I realized that it doesn't do anything.
I guess it works only for those who have the adaptive suspension in their cars.

Could someone confirm that this is indeed just a "dummy" option that doesn't do anything, at least in the X3 models that never had that options before.

Thanks,
D.

Correct. If you don't have DHP or the Sport activity package, the option will do nothing for you even if it is now showing on your Idrive screen.
