Scratched Rim
Just came back from a trip to Tahoe and noticed that one of my rims is scratched. I have no idea how it happened. I have the tire and wheel protection from BMW but it says that cosmetic damages are not covered. Am I screwed on getting this rim replaced by the warranty unless the rim is actually bent?

yes... The wheels are easily repaired by a competent shop.

While getting a tire repaired, the shop damaged my wheel in the process, taking out a thumbnail size paint chip on the lip of the wheel. I was pissed, but the damage was done. Searched on the internet for someone to correct it. Came across "Alloy Wheel Repair specialist" in my area, www.awrswheelrepair.com And for $75 bucks, my pain gone! Like it never happened! I highly recommend doing your research and hope you locate someone to take care of it for you.

Good stuff nearby.
Good cost for rim repair! Glad to find this. Thank you for posting, look better than the $1600 wheel and tire protection plan at BMW.
