Don't be so sure. I have read here that some didn't find out for days that they were indeed on a departed transport. My bimmer is scheduled for completion on the 14th. I believe next vessel is the 19th. I hope my car makes it. Good luck to you.

I actually just realized the ship leaving the 20th will arrive sooner than the one leaving a day earlier. The Topeka will be 14 days, while the Carmen will be 11 days. Hope I am on The Carmen

Scratch that. I either entered the wrong Production number or the system is messed up. since yesterday morning it still says "released to carrier awaiting transport to exit port." My car finished production on 9/4 which means for 10 days it has been in a "released to carrier awaiting transportation to exit port" status. Is this normal? What has been other peoples experience?.....Thanks!

Mine says the same thing too. But from what people are saying the 800 number is way out of date once production is done. i think you and I are defiantly on a boat. Logic suggests for 2 weeks they didn't have any cars produced ours were the first batch produced after they opened the factory. Why wouldn't the first ships out not have these cars aboard? The ones produced before the summer holiday have already been transported.

I am now on the waiting for transport line.

Anyone know when the next ship is leaving Germany? My order has been awaiting a vessel since Friday and I'm wondering if it'll be a long wait.

I have no idea how the schedules go. I still can't believe my car ended production on the 3rd and go on the ship on the 20th. That is 17 days later.

I cant believe I ordered on 8-6 got a dealers production slot, and people who ordered much later, while BMW was shut down for 2 weeks, still managed to have their 328 completed b4 mine. The whole process can be frustrating, unless you are one of those who order and have the vehicle in 4-6 weeks. Well...or cars are now closer to USA than Germany so the wait is nearly over (but not while driving )

MyKatie..nope its been "in transit to port" since 9/20. I sure hope I make one of the 3 ships leaving for Baltimore in the next week.

Is there a way to tell if car is being built in Munich or South Africa? Once production is finished then how long tentative for shiing, arrival pre etc at the dealer

Yes, I have been tracking at BMWUSA, but it doesn't show detail info. do you know where I can see the detail info at? I mean all the production codes,(150 151 152)

No way yo be exact. You can "guesstimate" by seeking vessels leaving for you area from this info I posted a few posts up

I'm finally on a ship that should arrive in Baltimore on 10/14. For those wondering how long the process takes here is my timeline:
8/17 Ordered (Factory on shutdown until 8/24)
9/6 Finish Production
9/6-9/20 "Released to carrier awaiting transportation to port of exit"
9/20-9/30 "In transit to port of exit"
9/30 At port of Exit
10/1 on the Integrity
Hoping to have by birthday on 10/24
