spare tire

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and new to the BMW. I just purchased a 2001 325ci convertible
and discovered it doesn't have a spare tire, but does have the jack. I can't find an air compressor or tire sealant. Did the the 01 325ci with the sport package come with a spare?

yep, full size OEM wheel and tire.

Unless the car came with staggered wheels, in which case it was issued a Space-Saver donut, which is located *under* the filler panel in the spare well....at first glance, it appears there`s nothing there, just dig a little deeper.
And, BTW, the factory jack is a dangerous, total piece of crap....invest $29 in a hydraulic "trolley jack" (looks like a scaled-down floor jack, often comes in a blow-molded plastic case for easy transport & storage) at Sears or auto parts store.

So what you're saying is the staggered vert comes with a mini, but the staggered coupe would come with a full size spare?

What year did the e46 start the staggered tire config? And did the 325 actually ever come with staggered with the lower power?

My ZHP came with the space-saver, not a full-size spare ( I *wish* they would`ve given me a full-size job with an extra Style 135 )

Is your coupe staggered, and what size spare did you get ?

Just to ad to the general knowledge, my touring with zsp and 17" wheels (square setup) came with a space saver spare.

My vert also came with the space saver. OP: You may want to try a wrecking yard to see if they can sell you what you need. A new setup is not cheap.

Alternatively, I bet you could get a full size tire/rim combination pretty cheap, maybe sub $150, from tirerack.com. It wouldn't be pretty, but for a spare, it would be okay and have the added benefit of allowing you to drive full speed on the highway. (Space savers have a recommended 50 mph limit)

My '04 Coupe came with staggered set-up due to sport package option.
In '04 you could not get the staggered on the 325Ci with any option.

My spare is the M68 Alloy wheel front tire sized for the 225/45-17.
When I get a flat on the rear, the spare makes it different sizes on the rear axle.

All that really matters is the overall circumference, which should be pretty close.

Yeah, wasn't a problem at all between LA and Phoenix in the summer.

And my Touring came with the full size matching spare.

That's how all cars should be. Tubes of goo and a pump, or a donut just don't cut it. Runflats are even worse.

my 02 ZSP coupe came with a full size
it's staggered and the space tire matches the front tires size
