I installed the full canbus error free kit for the fogs on my '03. Do they come on and then go off? Do they flicker when you turn them on? Do they turn on and work fine but when you start the car it strobes?

I don't know if its the ballasters because there 35w and I know our cars take 55w I believe but I read that if we put 55w it'll burn or heat up the harness wire and melt it

I've been there with my 7 and 3 series...
Are you trying to connect using the covering cap? Install the bulb, and bypass the covering cap (#4 in the diagram) hook up your ballast and signal cancellers. Check functionality and let me know. Also, maybe post some pics so I can see how it's connected.

You bought from ebay you say? What brand name is the kit? I bought the 35 watt slim hid kit from DDM including the error eliminators, installation was a breeze everything works great, you have a defective kit and if its throwing errors even with error eliminators your ballasts probably don't work.

Prices on eBay are very attractive until you try to install it or get something replaced under "warranty"

See if you can get the ballasts exchanged. and try it again on the Chevy truck just to make sure they work before trying it again on the 7. I would think you need capacitors something like these...
