Window tinting in the king of Prussia pa area
Hey guys. I got my F30 in jet black with black interior. I really want to tint the windows as well but want to make sure I get a quality job done. Does anybody out there have any suggestions for a good shop around the King of Prussia PA area?
Thanks in advance. Sent from my MB860 using Bimmer App |

Look at auto truck outfitters in glen mills.
They have tinted several of my cars and famil members. Always perfect, always looks great 5 years later. Never any marks on the interior.

Paul, I have used a guy right in Spring City. I used him in 2009 for my 335i, and if he is still doing it will plan on using him for my 2013 328i Msport which I will be picking up sometime this week.
He has been doing it for well over 20 years, and does great work. I will PM you with the info. |

I've had great experience with Berardi's Detailing in Glen Mills, about 20 mins from KOP. They also had the best price quote, and didn't need a coupon or anything either. Scheduled to get my F30 tinted by them this Saturday.

Good to know about Berardi's - I'm considering asking them to detail my e39 m5 in the spring. I actually do full details myself, but I want someone who knows how to do a more serious compounding.

Technically in PA tint is legal as long as it allows at least 70% of light to pass through. However, there has been mixed interpretation of the law and some police jurisdictions continue to ticket drivers for having any tint.
Technically the burden of proof is also on the police to prove the level of tint is outside of the limit by using an approved meter. However, this hasn't stopped the fuzz from writing tickets. Caveat Emptor.

this is 70% VTL: ![]() factory glass with the subtle blue tint is already down to 90-92% VTL, it doesnt take much more to push it past the legal limit

I used these guys. They do all kinds of cars ranging from Toyota, to BMW, to Lamborghini. When I get my next car I will use them again.
http://www.shadesofgraytint.com/index.html I forget exactly but was between 100 and 150. My appointment was at 10AM. I showed up 9:50. Car was in at 9:55. I was out by 11AM.

I did not have a good experience with Berardi's. I know they have a good reputation in the West Chester area, but my wife's car (with dotted rear windshield) has some bubbles. They where also incredibly hard to work with and the owner didn't bother to show at the shop when I was suppose to drop off the car to discuss tint % and show some samples.
Finally he quoted me $200 over the phone and tried to collect $250 which I did not accept. Would not use them again. Should have walked the moment he didn't show.

My bimmer doesn't have any tint but I'm thinking of getting it done to the legal limit.

On my 330 I had 35%. It looked great, but even at night it was possible to see in the car. Never had an issue with inspection at BMW, and indy mechanics. Never had cop issues. I always planned, if I get pulled over. Turn on interior lights, and make sure moonroof is open or at least the shade is pulled back.
Check out my garage to see the photos.

30% won't get you noticed at all in PA. There is not even an inspection check for tint in PA except for the windshield, and that has more to do with general visibility out of the front windshield.
I believe someone mentioned that stock the windows are actually 97% tint so doing 30% would be somewhere around 27% tint level which sounds about perfect.
