In my case, I fly in the night before and pick up the car the next day, but that is not a requirement. You simply schedule the day you want to pick it up and work your trip however you want.

I am in the middle of a major project and at a crucial point so I can not stay for long. I get there on Wednesday and leave on Sat. I am kicking myself for not giving myself more time (disappointed I may not have time to due a run in the Nurbergring) Obviously I will have to do it again LOL

I can't really say about airfare since I am flying on miles and staying on points In my case my trip (exclusive of meals and gas) is going to run about $600 and that is only taxes on the airfare, hotels, etc
