My external temp sensor is long gone, no doubt smeared across a parking lot curb by the previous owner.
However, if I drive through a large puddle with the FR wheel and soak the sensor plug, I can get it to register -35F instead of -40F, prompting a nice "ding". Of course, the ding brings back violent and terrible memories of the "low coolant level" warning-I have been trained to associate the ding only with that warning. Pavlov's dog….
