So Close But Yet So Far

My car arrived at the dealer today! Unfortunately it was too late to drive the car home, but it will be ready tomorrow. I'll enjoy it this weekend, return it to the dealer on Monday, and get the radar detector and tint installed. Here are the first pics!

What is Up with your dealer parking this beauty in a dirt lot ??

I'm pretty sure all '13 models (non-SUV, at least) are going to be that way.

+1, I remember reading that as well. I prefer the badges on the sides as the trunk looks cleaner. Not a big deal or anything that anyone - aside from us - will ever notice, but I'm not a fan of the change.

Better than "4-Matic". Blech!

I HATED them on the sides at first, then grew use to it, so now they look weird on the trunk. Ah, change. Ha.

White seems to be the favorite color for this car.

Yeah, I'm okay with them on the sides given the other chrome accents (window trim, turn indicator inserts, etc.). If I had the shadowline I might consider removing them because of the overall darker look with the Carbon Black paint. However, that might be a bit too much like modding for my taste, so I might not be able to bring myself to do it

I love the shadow line trim. Wasn't available early on without a special order.

Picked it up today, and will keep it until Monday morning. Then back to the dealer for tint, clear bra, and radar detector installation. Very sweet so far!

I'm sure your probably breaking her in properly for the first 1200 miles but that doesn't mean you can't experience that low rev 480 torque.

Also, what type of tint are you going with?

The tach has seen 4500 rpm multiple times....maybe even a little higher! I took it through the twisties early Sunday morning; that was a blast! You can really feel the adaptive drive working its magic when cornering hard. I come from an X6 50i that also had adaptive drive, and this is quite comparable.

I'm going with 35% tint to appease my wife; she vetoed 20% as too dark. It should be installed as of this afternoon. Radar detector gets installed tomorrow.

Awesome color! Enjoy! I have a black now but that's because the white preown that I pulled the trigger on was resprayed from Black.
