Transmission problem to 2004 525i

Any advice on how to get the transmission problem fixed, took my car to the dealership and they said it was the software system so they said they fixed the problem but my car showed me the transmission malfunction sign again. In need of help

Not sure if older E60 has the mechatronic sleeve leak problem, I'll mention that to dealer foreman to check the fluid level; you may low on fluid due to leaks for 8-years.

Whats the problem?

And yes, you have mechatronics in your trans and there is a sleeve that can leak.

Take it back to the dealer. My dealership has a one year warranty on repairs. If they don't get it right the first time, they will do it again, at no charge. Let the dealer handle it. Fixing the transmission is not a "do-it-yourself" project.
