Ok guys, I just bought a new battery from auto zone, it meets all the requirements and is bigger than the stock battery. I've had it now for about six weeks and now all of the sudden the battery light comes on the dash and i have no idea what it's from. It starts fine and nothing else is wrong. Any thoughts???
Thanks. |

Take the car to AutoZone for a battery and alternator test.

Alt bad. It wasn't making enough juice and killed your battery. You fixed the symptom not the problem.

What he said.
The only thing I'd add is to CHARGE the battery first, before taking it to Autozone. Read why in this thread: - DIY how to test a BMW E39 battery & alternator
