I'm finally on a ship that should arrive in Baltimore on 10/14. For those wondering how long the process takes here is my timeline:
8/17 Ordered (Factory on shutdown until 8/24)
9/6 Finish Production
9/6-9/20 "Released to carrier awaiting transportation to port of exit"
9/20-9/30 "In transit to port of exit"
9/30 At port of Exit
10/1 on the Integrity
Hoping to have by birthday on 10/24

Brother I hope you have it also on your birthday. you and I got screwed on the"transit to the port of exit" it took two weeks for me to get there WTF? Anyway I am on the Carmen and its unloading today so hopefully I have the car delivered down to VA by Monday. if its ready to be picked up on Saturday I am toying with the idea of jumping on a train and getting it myself.

Dude..that's great news for you. Someone over there is not liking us people in VA . Nothing says Fall like a nice Amtrak ride up north. Can't wait to read about your car and see the pics!

You got it, I will post them as soon as I get it. Already Ms Windsor and I are planning to take a drive in Shenandoah national park the weekend after we get it if the weather is nice. Can't wait.

I see some ppl have their cars sit at port for few weeks? and my car is still in transit to port of exist. How long it takes to transfer my car from factory to the port??

takes like a day or 2 to get to the port. its waiting for the boat that takes a while.

Mine is the same status as yours. Being transported to port of exit. It's been 3 days since 1-800 saying that. Hope it will make to the first available ship. Dealer said it's gonna be 7 weeks and I dont even see it arriving before 8 week. I hate when some lies to me.

today I got a call from my CA, they are delivering the car down here on Tuesday. Hell I am so excited I am going to work from home waiting for them.

If you're lucky, you might catch the Figaro which departs on 10/7 and arrives at Port Hueneme on 10/31. If not, the next WW carrier, Topeka, departs on 10/20 and arrives on 11/14. You might also be put on a different carrier line other than WW - (more difficult to confirm and track than WW). After arriving at Hueneme, it could take another 5-7 days before your dealer in SF gets it and then another day or two for the dealer to do the final prep checks.

How do I know if my car is on the boat?? I have the VIN# already.

call your dealer, my car was on a kline boat so i would have never known unless i called my dealer

When you call your dealer, either the Sales Manager or your CA can run a Vehicle Inquiry report. This report is the most accurate and up to date way to follow your Bimmers progress. It will show the VIN , and what stage of production its in. Now for you, it will show which ship its on, when it leave Germany, and when it is due in California at PH. Once its on the Ship , you can track it across the Atlantic Oceanc through the Panama Canal , and up the Mexican Coast on Marinetraffic web site. I hope this helps We get ours very very very very very SOON !!!!!

Excellent MacMan, before you know it you will have your baby. And let me tell you we are going to be in rare minority around NVA as I still don't see many F30s. Hell I have not seen one in the past week and for McLean that saying alot.

BMW and minority usually can't be used together in NoVa, but I agree. I saw one on 606 behind Dulles a couple of days ago and another one on 66 about a week ago.

yea man its crazy, F10s are becoming a dime a dozen around here but we can go days without seeing an F30

Called 1800# today, seems I missed the boat Figaro 10/07. Hopefully I wouldn't miss TOPEKA on 10/20.

There's still a chance. 800 number and site are slow to update. I'm on the Queen Sapphire which left on 10/3 from Germany but the number and site didn't reflect the departure until the 6th.

My car just finished at production line on 10/05, I highly doubt that my car will be on the 10/08 boat. lol 10/20 is acceptable to me.
