Winter tire choice
Hi, I have a 2007 550i non sport model. I live in the BC lower mainland just east of Vancouver, the winter weather is mostly very wet but we can have some occasional heavy snow. I mostly drive on the highway to and from work around 70km round trip with some hills and curves on the way.
Is there a tire that is good on snow and ice but still has good wet weather ability? Thanks! |

Thanks Gary, would the Pirelli Sottozero 2 be suitable? The price is a little lower on those ones in 255/50/17

Yes, the Sotto Zero Serie 2 does indeed have good wet traction but will be step down in snow and ice traction over the other winter tires in this size.
