trans failure

I've got a 2006 750li with 123,000 and when I try to accelerate to a passing gear, I get a trans failure alarm. When i stop, cut off the car and restart the alarm clears. Would someone have an idea as to what is going on and what the solution is? thanks

Sealing sleeve, adaptor need to be replaced most likely. It's for the Mechatronics unit. Transmission housing. Look up Mechatronics on this forum. I t happened to me a year ago. Good luck! Let me know what you find. Parts if you can do yourself are cheap. If you send me your email I can send you my work order.

"I just order the guibo,"
What does that mean.

Haha. I have no idea. If the dealer fixes it it costs around 900.00 pastors are about 300 with new transmission fluid. Since your down that way anyway you should change fluid.

I know what your talking about with mechatronics on my 02 745 LI they told me it had to be changed but I never did it.. But after changing the transmission fluid no the pan it stopped doing it & drive like a brand new car... As for my 2005 745LI I know it's the Guibo because I can feel its coming from the back... & I know the person who had the car before me just did transmission pan & filter @ a Indy & I'm certain they put enough trani fluid.. So I'm gonna have it topped up and a hard reset & change the Guibo ... I got the car two weeks ago & drove it straight to my Indy they changed all kinds after all this I would have spent damn near 3 grand.. But it's gonna be worth every penny I love this car

Hey ctjames - go to California transmission supply. http://www.thectsc.com/. They will hook you up with all you need. A new mechatronics sleeve ran me about 12 bucks. They have troubleshooting information etc.
