Why des my transmission shake when shifting gears
At high rpm like 4000 5000 or 6000 it shakes and shutters.....I know I shouldn't be that high all the Time but I just got a used tranny and as testing it

did you get under it and look at the transmission mounts? mount bracket could be loose, or mounts themselves could be totally deteriorated and worn out.

The last few days it hasn't shook, but when it's a cold start sometimes it shifts late and rough until the car is warm...?

Could be the suspension. I had the same problem when changing gear and when the traction control kicked in. It turned out to be the passenger (left) side of car, both shockers were burst. New coilovers on the front and shockers on the rear and haven't felt it since.
Keeping in mind it felt nothing like the suspension and I was positive it was the gears. |
