Unhappy Dissppointed

Really dissappointed in Dinan's customer service as of late. I have tried to get a response no less than three times from Dinan concering the rollout of a chip for the N55 for the X3.

They seem to have it for every other vehicle that has the N55 but not the X3.

I have gone to their website. filled out their contact form and received an automation email stating I will be contacted within 24 hours. Only problem is no one gets back to me.

Maybe will try a simple phone call.

Anyone else have any luck with this?

Evl, try ryan.amundsen@dinancars.com and see if he can help. He is in the service area but they all talk to each other there and at least can probably offer some suggestions.

I spoke to Scott @ DINAN on this. Although, they have tunes for the 135i, X5/X6 -35i, and 335i, they are still trying to "Crack the Code" for the ECU in the F25 X3 and the F10 535i. The hurdle they are facing is communication with the ECU according to Scott. Scott stated that he will send me an email when they get the flash done. He says it could be done in a week or extend to a month or longer. I assume their programmers are on it. As we know Burger has a flash ready now...but personally, I think I'll wait for DINAN. My past experience with them has been positive

Stay tuned.......(excuse the pun)

Thanks, Tell them to answer their darn e mail system though. Really weighs poorly on them. I have e mailed them three times and get the standard automated someone will contact you in 24 hours. Normally I would pick up the phone, but in the middle of selling/buying a home.

After that I will be buying a new vehicle and the only reason I plan on getting rid of my current X3 is because I cant make any improvements other than cosmetic. It has been very good to me and even though I am considering an S4 as a replacement I might be persuaded to stay with BMW if I know I can make changes.

Having the ability to "upgrade" the performance and or handling allows me to breath life in to a vehilce when I start to get used to (bored) with its current state.

Thanks,

EE

No problem I will pass your sentiments onto the folks a DINAN. They pride themselves on customer service - in which they failed to extend to you. Not acceptable. That being said you will most certainly be able to tune your F25. Its still somewhat new, but I am sure the aftermarket - especially DINAN will come out with additional items. As a matter of fact check this out.

Rather than "Msport" i think this is the route i would choose if I wanted to go for the all "monochrome" look. I think I'm in for some select items like the exhaust, and possibly the Type VIII Rims (if I get the urge to swap out my Breytons), the steering wheel isn't bad either. iDrive controller "waaaaaay over the top"

Unfortunately not yet. I've been checking the site regularly.

Actually, I had an '04 X3 3.0 6 spd that I had Dinanized with "S" pkg - CAI, free flow muffler, engine s/w which added 13 hp, 11 ft/lbs, raised the redline & removed the top speed limiter. I live in Santa Fe, NM at 7,000', so the power gains were modest, but noticeable, throttle response was crisper, mpg improved in day-today (got thirsty if yer into rompin' & stomp in'). I now have an X3 3.5 and am interested in the next gen Dinan stuff, a turbo is a wonderful thing at altitude, and nothing exceeds like excess . . .

You loose the BMW warranty installing the Dinan tune no?

In response, you'd be wise to be "leery" so you don't "lose"...oh, never mind.
