IOS6 & iTunes Match

Since IOS6 and the iPhone 5 came out I have seen lots of posts of how to get messages and emails working.

I for one care very little for email integration; text messages are more useful but not critical.

For me its all about music and I was hoping to have IOS6 switch to streaming from downloading. This way all tracks, including the ones in the cloud (via iTunes Match), would be playable via the iDrive.

issue is that the iDrive shows all playlists, but any music in the cloud simply wouldn't show, only what's on the phone.

Low and behold, when I purchased the media cradle (since I have to wait until next June for my next phone upgrade), using the plugin shows and plays all my music from iTunes Match

The interface is a bit cheesy and the steering wheel controls are more limited, but I can finally get to all my tracks

Not sure if was working before, but that alone was worth getting the cradle.
