Exclamation The surging in my car is making my blood surge

I have a 95 bmw 318is, 204000 miles. The problem Im facing happens after 10 to 15 minutes of driving a highway speed (70mph). This is when the rpms on the car get stuck at over 2k. Even when i put it on neutral or even come to a stop, the rpms do not go down, sometimes it move from 2500 to 1500 but usually stay at around 2k. ICV was replaced at around 170k miles. The MAF sensor doesnt look old, but if anyone can show me how the filaments look on a good and a bad sensor, that would help out. Also, any other suggestions are very welcome.
