New guy from NOVA - 1999 Z3 Coupe

Hi Everyone,

My name is Robert and I have recently just purchased a 1999 Z3 Coupe in Cosmo Black with 52k on it. It came with a Super Sprint exhaust and a Dinan Stage 2 upgrade. This will be my daily driver and I am looking forward to learning more about it and working on it.

I will be ordering all the necessary components to revamp the cooling system over the winter (ie) waterpump, thermostat, etc. The passenger lock stopped working too so that will be another project I will be under taking.

I look forward to meeting other Z3/Z3M Coupes in the local DMV area.

Great looking coupe. There are quite a few of us E36/8 owners in the NoVa area. Many are also active on the "other" forum (bimmerforums). We've done a few GTG's and DIY fixit events. I go to Katie's C&C on Saturdays in Great Falls about once a month and a few Z3 roadsters and coupes show up. Hope to see you some time

I've been meaning to head out to a C&C at Great Falls. I live right by Tysons Corner so its not a far drive for me at all. I just rather not wake up that early on a Sunday haha Do let me know if there are any GTG's in the near future or if you will be making it out to this Sunday's C&C.

Bertofrob, try spraying lubricant into the door lock mechanism on the door/jam..............it has been known to cure door problems on occasion....

Katie's is on Saturdays. There is a Sunday car meet in front of the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes but I haven't been to that meet in a while.

I won't make it this weekend due to kid's soccer events. I'll give you a shout if I go to Katie's some weekend
