My girlfriend broke my stereo
So the center console where the telephone used to be, it slides back and forth. She was excessively sliding back and forth when all of a sudden my stereo stopped playing. The power is good except for the stereo. I can't even click the button to see stations or anything. Help me! Is there wires that were disconnected under that center console. I just bought this car recently. It's a 1995 740i. Help. I have no music.

Pull the arm rest thingy off and check. Real easy to do. Look for directions at e38.org

Radio is muted by the phone. I would guess that the 'mute' command/wire is permanently signalling the radio (ie the radio thinks you are on the phone).
Tricky fix unless you find obvious damage. Fix car - change girlfriend for one with more car sympathy.
