Hi.. I am a total novice to mechanics, let alone when things don't work. I went away for 4 days with car left in garage... when I returned, it would keep cranking but not starting... garage would smell like petrol.
I think the fuel pump is working as I pulled the spark plugs and they were wet (I did this twice after drying plug) I checked and there is a spark when ignition turning I checked some fuses in trunk, and the fuel pump is fine The thing is.. if it was an electrical issue, I would think that a Check Engine light would stay on... I don't have any reader if the light came on anyway I am thinking after tearing forums that it may be a CPS, but again thought that would create an error light. Any thoughts? Is it possible for the CPS to fail, and no check engine light? Really appreciate your help, as my wife is getting annoyed I keep driving her car thanks |
