E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

Black kidney grills for 135is... oh and advice about snow tires too
I tried to order a set of black kidney grills for my 2013 135is from Turner Motorsports and to their credit they warned me that the blacked-out aftermarket grills for the 2012 and prior do not fit the new 135is. Not sure why but.... Anyone else with a new 135is found a source for the black grills yet?
Also having a hell of a time finding wheels and snow tires for my 135is. Winter in Connecticut... need snow tires. Tire Rack has Breyton GTS-R wheels that are the OEM size (front 7.5 x 18; rear 8.5 x 18) and look great, and they sell a Pirelli snow tire that is the same size specs as the stock summer tires (front 215/40R18; rear 245/35R18) but that combo comes up in Tire Rack's recommendation for the 2012 135i with M sport package and NOT for the 2013 135is. I emailed Breyton in Germany and they said that wheel WILL fit the 135is, but I can't seem to get a straight answer from Tire Rack about why that wheel / snow tire combo isn't recommended for the 135is. Anyone else with a 135is have other information about snow tires and wheels??? |
