I orderd the SWB B7, the car is still a little bigger then I'd like and would have ordered an M5 if they offered All Wheel Drive. I presently own a 650i XDrive, 400 H.P. You can just get on it without worry, even in wet weather. Nashville only get about 10" of snow a year so I can pretty much avoid that but it rain a lot, about 45" a year! The Alpina is one hot mama, they only send about 500 over here a year so it is exclusive! Great looks, performs and handles well and will giddy up and go, 4.3 seconds to 60, not too shabby for a big vehicle that weighs almost 2 1/2 tons! Talk about no room, I'm 6;3" 250 pounds, I can't get in the back of my 650 to clean the windows, this car will be much better!

Are you already tired of the AH 7?

I'm in similar situation too... Wife prefers 7 series size cause she is always taking the 2 kids around...

It does have more room in the back but probably only a few inches, a touch wider. The reason I ordered the B7 is 1) very exclusive, only around 400 to 500 a year come to the U.S. and 2) All Wheel Drive. I love all wheel drive, especially with a high horsepower car, you just hit it and go! If they provided allwheel on the M5 probably would have ordered it! Hope this helps. Also the M5 is probably 30 large cheaper?

i cant imagine Chris getting sick of an AH7 while paying 600/month for it! that would be pretty damn unappreciative!!! :P

I love the new M5, and have been thinking about getting one down the road. But after having a 528 loaner for 2 days, I realized that the 5 is just too small. Everything is touch smaller and my wife complain about it everytime she gets in it. I think I already got spoiled with the full siza 7.

My car was in for service twice for squeaking. The tech couldn't even hear it (lazy) the second time - off the road for 10 days. For a while I was thinking I may have to lemon the car and get something else, hence the B7/M5 consideration. But it's fixed now, good as new - new front brakes and rotors, new pads at the rear, new rear left strut.
