Also, can any one point me towards some 20# objectors, and set of 328/M3 headers, and/ or a 540 MAF? I'd be much obliged.

Why two gallons of BMW antifreeze? You planning on spilling a lot?

Owner's manual says the system holds 10.5 liters, mixing it 50/50 means I need 5.25 liters so I'll have 2.31 liters left over, assuming I don't spill any.

As sad as it may be, this was probably one of the parts I was most excited about in this order. You have no idea (well, some of you probably do) how annoying it is to hear "your gas door is open" 26 times a day .

Thanks man. Engine stand gets here tomorrow, hoping to pull the engine this weekend and get it opened up so I can measure the bore and order piston rings.

I'm just using the original red label 413 DME with a chip from hackentt thanks to CJ. According to hackentt with a 3.5" MAF and 20# injecters it'll put 260 on the ground, not sure I trust that figure though . Plus with the M54 cam it has more low end power than an S50.

My package from harborfreight got here a day early, engine stand is assembled, tomorrow I just have to finish clearing out the barn and moving my anvil, cut a more car size hole, throw down a few sheets of plywood and it'll be game on.

It's all finally here (except piston rings which I'm waiting to order until I can measure the bore) Now I need to get some shut eye so I can get too it bright and early in the am.

On a scale of one to kicks, how bad of an idea is it to push coolant out of the engine like this?.

Key, the expansion tank is a month old and I did wipe it off first. So far the only side effect is that my lungs feel like I just inflated 50 balloons.

Other than the fact the ethylene glycol in coolant can kill your liver and kidneys it's no big deal...........

Wasn't syphoning and the ld/50 for ethylene glycol is 4700mg/kg and at around 90kg I think I'll live.

Ran into my first couple of road blocks. #1 is that one of the screws that attaches the nose panel to the fender is being difficult and ate a T-30 torx bit.
#2 is that the guy I was going to borrow a hoist from hasn't gotten it back from the last person who borrowed it.

You'll probably need to use a chisel to turn that torx head. Had that happen on my first e36.

Went to Lowe's and got a hardened bit and used my electric impact driver, came right out :thumb:.

I'm working on a wacky scheme for lifting the SOB out with out a hoist, but I don't want to give anything away until I have pics of my experiment.
