02 M3 State insp - lower control arm
Sup yall !! I bought a 02 M3 about two weeks ago and as it was on the lift for the state inspection the inspector pointed out a small part broken off the front/right hand lower control arm. It looks like a small linkage 4 or 5 inches long. It looks like its a very easy fix but I dont know exactly what it is. I think it just needs a new clip to secure it to the control arm. My 325 control arm dont have this piece connected to it. The name of the part or unit would be much help. Thanks P.S. It wasnt part of the inspection and the car still passed.

At the front of the control arm? Do you ahve Xenon headlights? A picture would REALLY help.
But it sounds like it may be the auto leveler for the Xenon headlights. Yes, there is a metal clip, that clips to the control arm to activate the rod/lever.
