Ready to start restoration
my 1975 2002 has been sitting for seven years, I know, I know,..... some dude who said he'd rebuild the carb. got it turned over and running (rough) four years ago, been sitting since. OK, I wanna clear the fuel lines, pump out the tank, etc. Fuel stabilizer was put in 4 years ago (prob. doesn't mean a thing now) Any suggestions for getting underway of how and what steps for getting started. I want to put a Weber carb on it but it was suggested to get the car started first. But a gummed up carb is what started this whole thing 7 years ago. My manual doesn't show me where the fuel pump is located but I think I know where it is, well, you get my drift. I do have the Hayne's manual. I was looking for a fuel system schematic for the car but no luck. I read in the McCartney manual that one could exchange bodyshells? I checked Jaymic and their website said no items matched my request. Yeah, this is funny but I'll be able to laugh harder after I get this car that I've had for 26 years restored. Thanks for any help you got. I know I'll pay it forward.
