The future is now! The all new 6 series coupe (F12) and convertible (F13) details are out and dealers are taking orders. Still no word on when the 4 door Gran Coupe will go into production. |

Accidentally found this feature.
I downshift a lot. I had the car in D and thought I was downshifting, but accidentally put it in N and then somehow threw the shifter over to the left. (SD)
The feature? The car threw the shifter back to the D position so I could pull it from still in N to D and engage the gear. Nice work BMW!

Good find. I did something similar many years ago on a Saab 9000 Turbo and accidentally put it back in drive. The result was a snapped transmission shaft.
I wonder if it works the other way and prevents you from neutral dropping.
