Just bought e90 rims...

Will they fit my e34? I bought them off a buddy who just had a 2006 redone, and he told me they would fit, but I can't tell if I need spacers or not, or where I'd get them at. Any help??? Thanks guys!!

I do believe that its considered a fashion faux pas to fit 3 series rims onto a 5 series, would generally attract dirty looks from those who know. In addition, the offset, hub sizes etc would likely be off, as even bmw seems to design it that way. I don't think they will fit without modifications. I suggest that you sell off your rims.

Having said that, detailed information on spacers, wheel hub measurements etc across all bmw classes can be found on google. Please cross reference whatever you're reading against other websites purporting to give you the same information, and ultimately, double check against the Bentley manual for E34s (please google for the download links).

I've heard that spacers may cause problems at high speeds unless they are very well made. It may be better to re-machine your wheel hub to fit these rims, if you insist on keeping them.

rgds,
Roberto

They should fit but you will need spacers to get back to a ~20mm offset. H&R makes quality spacers that will not give you any trouble. The wheels offset should be stamped on the back side, you will probably need a 20-30mm spacer.

Go for it if you like the wheels. I am not sure how bobby figures the wheels from an e90 are a step down from the e34, but then, I'm not so sure about bobby on many levels.

LOL. If they have tires on them then put them on get the jack stands posited so that the wheels are close to the gound on one side and slowly let the other side down to the ground and see what hits?

Snowsleds right. Nothin works on the rear of this car without a spacer it seems.

To roberto I had a rim with a cheap spacer and no hub centric ring on the back. I did 115 without any problem.

Yeah, but did you do it like bobby, in third gear tach'ing her out for the "italian tune-up"? It sure would be cooler if you did

i generally rev the guts out of it in neutral and slap it into drive, that seems to sort out any transmission errors.

on a serious note, E90 rims will fit, youll just need some spacers. same stud pattern/bore etc as e34, just wrong offset
