If you like your rims......have them painted black.

Painting them will not last, maybe a few years?

VMR makes some great wheels at about that price range. Forgestar will cost you a bit more, but they're exceptionally light (probably four pounds less per corner).

APEX wheels. Lightweight, not too expensive, well made (roll forged). Hyper black and satin black available in most models.

For that price, I definitely will recommend some VMRs.

I don't know about any "mean" rims, but I might know about some "mildly unpleasant" ones...

this is true BUT also convenient if you get tired of the look you can peel them off and save the cost of NEW rims
also you can re-dip them if they peel!!

Pshaw. Attitude is EVERYTHING. Perhaps they should categorize wheels by their demeanor. Demeanor they are, the dopier they are.

I'd recommend that you check out the Avant Garde M359 wheels. They feature a concave mesh design that look really good on just about any car you put them on. The setup that is going to work best is the 19x8.5 ET35 with a 235/35/19 up front and the 19x10 ET38 with a 265/30/19 in the rear. This will give you a flush look and will not cause any rubbing issues. Below are a couple installed pictures of this exact setup on for you to check out!
