Mein Auto: 1999 bmw 323is
crankshaft sensor(help please)

ok i had my 1999 bmw 323is at autozone and they pulled up the codes for it. one of the codes was for the crankshaft sensor. had my mech pull the old one out. advance or autzone didn't have it or could they get it cause the ones they sell don't have the wire with them. i bought a crankshaft sensor off of ebay but it looks like the ends don't match up. have pics to show. what i want to know is will the new one work. here's how the pics go. old part,new part,old part,new part.

The only difference I see is the bolt ring on the first pic. Something you should remove and install to the new one!

come to find out that the part they sent me was the cam shaft sensor not the crankshaft sensor. so does does anyone know where i can get the crankshaft sensor besides going to the the dealer

partsgeek.com a crank shaft sensor is around 40 for a oem. They are around 20 for a non oem. Thats where I get all my parts from their prices are very good.

thanks for the websites but i have one problem. those are the sensors i need but i need the wire that would go to it. if you look at the pics i have up they are hard wired in the sensor. i get the the crankshft sensor at any parts store where i live but they can't get the pigtail

12141709616 $96.57

BMW also recommends installing these additional parts to go with the sensor:

Adapter lead 12514592703 $22.77

O-ring 12141748398 $0.86
