I bought the car from a private party--I was never disputing the terms of the sale, just the PPI that missed some items in need of attention. Shop #1 went back and made it right. Because the BMW community is small, I'm not going to publicly divulge the name of shop #1 and risk damage to their reputation,especially since they took responsibility and did right by me. At the end of the day, I'm pleased with the way this resolved itself.

So what? I pay for stuff all the time and get substandard service. It is one of the main reasons I work on my own vehicles, I know I do it right.

America is filled with crappy service. The spirit of excellence that made us great has died.

But you got what you wanted so who cares what I think?
