Race for Luxury Car Sales Crown

How are BMW and Mercedes counting their sales? Is it by orders placed before January 1st? Or does the car actually have to be signed for?

I have a production week of 48, and I am wondering if this car sales race with Mercedes would entice BMW to start moving up some of these productions slots so that cars can arrive before January.

Must be reported sold by end of the year, which requires it to be on the ground.

Do you think they will try to speed up orders to win? Or is that just wishful thinking?

I hope they don't. Often enoughrushing production to hit a sales goal has a direct impact on the product quality

Sold orders are already automatically prioritized.

Maybe this will prompt BMW to put the good incentives out for November - if they wait until Dec, ordered cars will not make it on the tally by end of year.

I have now heard about two different gran coupe orders that have gone into production 2 weeks early, so hopefully BMW is speeding some things up. I am still scheduled for week 48, but week 46 would be great, that would get the car here in December during the holiday incentives.
