Sometimes... I hate tire shopping

Ok, so here's the story.

Recently bought a 2007 335xi Sport that came with 19" wheels mounted and the stock staggered 18" boxed up. I was planning on using the 18" for winter wheels and putting Conti DSWs on the 19" since the summer tires on them are a bit worn (and I love the DSWs).

Problem 1: Complete lack of options for snow tires on the stock 18" wheels. So far as I can tell, just Pirelli PZeros with very lackluster reviews.

Problem 2: I was planning on 235/35R19 front, 275/30R19 rear with the DSWs, but it seems Conti is backordered until who knows when on the 235/35s

So... Does anyone have a recommendation for a good snow tire on the stock 18" wheels that I'm not seeing? I'm leaning toward selling the OE wheels and getting a 17" square setup, but am worried about front brake clearance.

And (maybe Gary can answer) is there any estimated date that the DSWs will be available? I could get by on the 19" with the contis for a while if they're available soon.
