Z3 Top

Is it a nightmare trying to put a new top on a Z3 or is it somewhat simple? What might it cost to have this done by a local shop if you already have a new top?

I would just call different places to see.

Just got my Z3 back from the upholstery shop today. They installed a new top (including window), headliner and both seats (leather trim with suede insets) for 2000.00. I found my shop through a different local car group (Miata). These guys did an AMAZING job!!!! Fit, stitching and quality of materials are better than factory in my humble opinion. Still have yet to post them to this site. :0)

Can you take pictures of your seats. I'm having mine done this winter while I store my car and am looking for ideas. Leather with suede inserts sounds interesting.

I have found a car that has a new top with it although it needs to be installed. Its also needs a spot in the hood fixed where somebody must have sat on it, but it's a good car for a good price as well. Indy Girl please post pics as soon as possible!

Gonna reformat the images to a smaller size cuz there HUGE!!!! But after racing it around on the streets since I got it back I LOVE the suede insets!!! I figured it was pretty important that my butt not slide around while trying to make a simple turn around every corner HA! =0)
