How's this 335is deal..?
Was at the dealer this weekend and was able to negotiate and put a $1k deposit down on a brand new 2013 335is coupe.
msrp: $60,745 residual: 62% mileage: 12k, 36 mos. MF: 0.00135 payment: $612/mo. Final negotiated price is $55,492 which includes the $1k credit for the TeamUSA, and the $750 BMW Loyalty (comes off the front-end) which im offsetting with a $750 cap cost reduction.. upfront fees are $1909.00. I'm going to get a break-out of what this consists of later this week. Because i've got a trade-in, theres a sales tax credit cost saving. They're completely paying off my trade-in, resulting in a wash. Since I made a payment on Saturday, i'll be getting $490 back since the dealer's payoff will exceed my loan balance What do you think?

DId you look up on BMWconfig.com what the invoice price is for this car? Go ahead and post details. Most folks look at deals at how much over invoice, although since this is the last model year before a complete redesign I would believe incentives should be pretty good. Also keep in mind you will have access to new year end incentives in Nov and Dec.

I have the invoice price at home using tru car, but i can't access it from work.. However, I think it's at $300 over invoice.
While I may have new incentives available, I don't want to take a gamble and lose my $1k Drive for Team USA discount..

Seems like invoice is around 56K and minus the incentives $1000 + $750 +$750 cap reduction should be around 53.5 + profit. DId you already get the car?

There will be far better incentives than the $1k drive event discount in December.

My wife is in the market for a 2013 X5. Last yr residual on the X5 dropped 2% from Oct 2011 to Nov 2011, but BMW gave you Nav credit of $1730. The $1k USA drive was offset by the $1K loyalty offer. Currently, we have the loyalty & apps credits until end of the year. So, the other new incentives will probably be holiday cash and maybe the MF reduction for BMW lease expiring early next yr? Fzara2000, don't forget the Ultimate Apps credit - $500. Also, you can lower your monthly payment and save some interest by using MSDs. By the way, thank you for your response jagu - I remembered you did your ED on your 2007 530 around the time I did mine. And you replaced it with a Lexus after several yrs . But, I'm glad you came back to BMW.

Thanks for the input fellas. The BMW Drive App doesn't apply because i'm not a current BMWFS member, and instead financed my car through a local credit union when I bought it out two years ago.
Last weekend, we signed to make a $1k deposit and created a rough draft of the sales contract with my terms and monthly payment, and selling price, and options of the car that they will try to obtain. Heres an update: the dealer is stalling and possibly unwilling to make the trade for the new 335is with the dealership that has it. Initially they wanted me to submit a credit app. before they would be willing to talk the dealer to obtain the new car. Why would I submit a credit app, get approved, and then possibly get the answer that the original dealership with the car is unwilling to make a trade? Then I have a credit inquiry on my report, and if I go to another dealership, further inquiries will reduce my credit score. Now they're telling me the person who does the dealership-to-dealership trades is in meetings all day and he'll call back later. Something here is fishy...either they screwed up my lease numbers and are unwilling now to make a deal, or the original dealer is unwilling to trade the car. Thoughts?

if you already get approved by bmwfs, i dont believe they pull your credit again.
i suspect they want to make sure they can fund the deal before trying to get the car from the other dealer... |

Thats what I thought as well, but the below thread disproves that.. "The purpose of the lock is to give that Center 1st dibs at your business, every center you go to will have to run your credit through BMW FS to get funded. Always better to shop the store you like 1st then do the deal." http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...ght=run+credit

i have a feeling they want to lock you in before they do the trade, to make sure you dont back out. do you have all the terms of the deal in writing? if they wanted to blow off the deal, they could just tell you that the car was sold. a few related pulls in a short period of time wont hurt your score that much-- the system recognizes that someone shopping for a car/home/etc will have multiple pulls for the same thing within a short period of time. |

Update: they called us back and told us that they are having problems because there's a buyer for that car already at the dealership that currently has the car.. Legitimate. I left him a voicemail and told him id consider similar configurations as long as the car isn't black (bad omen in our family).
We haven't come to the dealership that has has the car because we came in using trucar.com which offered invoice pricing. Since I've got a trade in I didn't want to drive around everywhere..
