Angry Electrical short?

2003 x5 3.0

Heavy rain and seemed like something shorted.

Auto level warning light on.
Radio fail.

All ok next day.

Days later, loud buzzing feeding through speakers.

Instrument cluster ie turn signal indicator and seat belt lights no longer illuminate.
Seat heater not working, radio not working.

New battery & alternator no fix.

Cd loader in trunk no power.

Came on about a week ago for 1 trip, then no joy.

Mechanic says 2-3k to troubleshoot.

Auto door lock no longer engages when driving and double blink of exterior lights
Confirming door locks no longer happens when locking with key fob.

Worst vehicle I have ever owned. Crankcase ventilator froze 3 years ago frying
Both catalytic convectors = $3k each.

Doors freeze in winter, often climbing out passenger door.

Any suggestions to where short could be?
I have noticed when I close driver side window a layer of water on glass
But not sure short would affect all the centre console, radio and seat heater, door opener etc.
