I have a 1998 528i that ran and rove absolutely great, until i was driving along and the serpentine belt broke. So i had to continue my journey home without a water pump or alternator
I am not sure if the engine is still good or not, but everything else is in great condition. I will be very reasonable on prices, just let me know what you need and i can send a picture and description. It does still run, and drive, I'm just not sure you would want to drive it if you care about the engine. It does have a Borla exhaust too! These are the only picture I have for now

How many miles on the engine, and when was the last time the serpentine belt has been changed?

They are just stock headlights with a really bad spray tint job, they look good from far away though. They could probably use a good sanding and they would be perfect. and someone installed an add-on angel eye kit, but only the drivers side works

Around 100k on engine, and I have never replaced the serpentine belt, probably why it broke... the car itself has 233k

Well thats another thing, Im not sure if it is dead... I was going to have it towed to a shop but I decided to see if I could part it out... what do you think I should do?

Personally if it was my car and if I wanted to keep it, i would keep the alternator, check the condition of the water pump(change it if it is original at that mileage, or leave it for now if it is not broken to test it at least). Change the serpentine belt, see if the car overheats. If it does not overheat, then thats a obvious good sign and i would keep it. No need for a shop this work is easy, read some diy articles its very easy to work on the m52. Its like legos.

I do have a new water pump, but I'm just concerned as to what driving it a mile or two without the water pump did to the rest of the engine

Nothing fantastic I would assume, however hope for the best. Check if it overheats, if you do the labor it costs you nothing to find out minus the time spent working on it. Now if you excuse i have to check if any trees have fallen on my car.

No problem. To fresh of a car to let it just go to parts anyway.
