1994 325ic (e36) - Looking for isntructions to replace rear speakers
Hello from a newbie!
I have a 1994 325ic (convertible e36) and am trying to upgrade my busted rear speakers. I've replaced speakers on other cars but don't want to mess with pulling out the interior without knowing how it's done. Does anyone have instructions on how to get into the speakers? Any help is appreciated! |

I think they come out in the trunk. They have a small box around them to increase performance. I belive the size is a 4" speaker or so. 6x5 or 6x8/6x9 wont fit unless you cut the hole bigger with an jigsaw.

On the convertible, it doesn't look like they do. On my car, there's a panel that almost seems like pops out to expose the speakers...to clarify, these speakers are on the rear but on the side panels. My main question is, are there screws somewhere I should unscrew? does the panel snap off? If I take the panel off, will I have to come back and re-glue it or are the snaps snaps that pop in and out?

Here are those instructions the person said they found
I was looking for instructions for speaker replacement and found the instructions that the person mentioned.
Here is the link: http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/product-extras/BMW_Speakers_Install__BSW_Stage_1_-_E36_96-99_Convertible.pdf Its an old thread, but it might help the next person. I am attacking this project in steps now starting with the rear speakers. They are very easy to get to. |
