2005 bmw x5 3.0i Key FOB Issue
Long story short, but the battery in my 2005 x5 3.0i was completely drained (car prowl, grrr).
I ended up jumping my vehicle, running it for a while to get a full charge on the battery, and all seemed well. However, I noticed that my key FOB buttons do not work at all now. Prior to the battery drain, the key FOB buttons worked flawlessly. The backup key is long lost, this is my only key FOB. Has anyone ran into this? It doesn't seem like a key FOB issue since it was working the day before, and the key FOB being completely drained in less than a day seems unlikely. Any replies are much appreciated. |

You may have lost the programing to your key fob to your vehicle Alarm and Lock operation.
This should work to help re-program it yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=a8-AKW6tB_E ~Mud |

Below are written instructions in case one doesn't want to watch the nice video link posted above. The instructions need to be followed to the "T"...don't skip, fudge, combine, or overlook any of the instructional steps...if you do...programming may fail.
